Directions to Jefferson County Parks
A. Jefferson County Fairgrounds: Port Townsend. North on San Juan Avenue follow road as it bends to the left (49th street), turn left on Jackman Street.
B. North Beach: Port Townsend. North on San Juan Avenue, follow road to the left (49th street), turn right on Kuhn Street, follow to end.
C. Port Townsend Community Center: Port Townsend. East on Lawrence Street, followto blinking stop light (uptown Port Townsend), PTCC on the corner of Lawrence andTyler Streets.
D. Memorial Field: Port Townsend. Follow Water Street east in to down town PT, turn left on Madison Street by City Hall, field is straight ahead.
E. County Courthouse Park. Port Townsend. Take Sims Way east into Port Townsend. After stop light on Kearney Street bare left up the hill on Washington Street, Park at top of hill on left in front of courthouse.
F. Larry Scott Trail: Port Townsend. Trail-head in the Port of Port Townsend. Traveling East on Sims Way turn left on Haines Street ( Safeway stop light), follow road around into Port, turn right, park near heavy haul out area. Trail-head on Mill Road: go west at the stop light at Mill Road (at PT city limits), approximately ¼ mile to where trail crosses road, park on left.
G. Irondale Park: Irondale. Heading East on Irondale Road from HWY 19, turn right on Patison, right on S. 7th St, turn right on Alma Street in to park.
H. Bob Bates Fields: Port Hadlock. Heading south on Chimacum Road from Port Hadlock intersection, turn left on Elkins Road, right on Stadium Lane.
I. Chimacum Park: Chimacum. Heading north on HWY 19 from the stoplight at the Chimacum intersection, go past West Valley road, park is 300 feet on your left look for brown park sign.
J. HJ Carroll Park: Chimacum. Heading north on HWY 19 from the stop light at Chimacum intersection travel approximately 1.5 miles, turn right on H.J. Carroll Park road.
K. South Indian Island Park: East of Port Hadlock. Traveling East on Oak Bay Rd. from the stop light at the Port Hadlock intersection, turn left on Old Flagler road, travel across bridge, turn right into First Park. Second Park is approximately ½ mile further east on Old Flager Rd., turn right at park sign, road weaves down to the shoreline park.
L. Oak Bay Parks (campgrounds): East of Port Hadlock. Travel east on Oak Bay Rd. from the stop light at the Port Hadlock intersection, travel 2 miles, turn left on Portage Way Rd., follow Portage Way Rd. down to campground area.
L1. Upper Oak Bay Park: turn left on PortageWay Rd. and another quick left on to Cleveland Street, travel approximately ½ mile turn right into the campground on Upper Oak Bay Park Road.
M. East Beach Park: Marrowstone Island. Traveling on Oak Bay Rd. east of Port Hadlock turn left on Old Flagler Rd. north to Marrowstone Island, travel past the Nordland store, turn right on East Beach Rd., ends at the Park.
N. Beausite Lake/ N.W. Kiwanis Camp: Chimacum. Turn west on to the West Valley Rd. off HWY 19 (by Chimacum School), follow West Valley Rd. approximately 4 miles to Beausite Rd., turn right and follow road approximately ½ mile, gate to camp on the right.
O. Gibbs Lake Park: Chimacum. Turn west on West Valley Rd. from HWY 19 (by Chimacum School), follow West Valley Rd. approximately 5 miles, turn right on Gibbs Lake Rd, approximately ¾ mile to park boundary.
P. Lake Leland: Approximately 6 miles north of Quilcene or 5 miles south of Discovery Bay on HWY 101. Watch for park signs.
Q. Hicks/Shine Park: Heading east on HWY 104 toward Hood Canal Bridge, turn right on Shine Rd, follow road approximately 3 miles to county park sign, turn right into park.
R. Quilcene Campground: Located in Quilcene, park is next to Quilcene Community Center on HWY 101 just south of town.
S. Quilcene Sports Park/ Deema Smakman Field: One mile south of Quilcene on HWY 101, turn at Deema Smakman sign.
