Jefferson County Parks are open to the public from sunrise to sunset.
Directions: Turn west on West Valley Rd. from HWY 19 (by Chimacum School), follow West Valley Rd. approximately 5 miles, turn right on Gibbs Lake Rd, approximately ¾ mile to park boundary.

Over 700 acres of beautiful forest with a 90 acre pristine lake; seven miles of multiple purpose single track trail; limited bicycle only trail being built at the Silent Alder Area; hiking; horseback riding; hand boat launch area; incredible fishing; challenge course; Beautiful 100 year old forest.
Fires or Charcoal grills are not allowed at Gibbs Lake County Park at anytime. |
| Dogs are Not Permitted at the Gibbs Lake Swimming Beach |
Please do not take your dog to the beach at Gibbs Lake County Park. It is not allowed according to County Parks Code 12.25.170 (4).
You may take your dog to any other area in Gibbs Lake County Park, on a leash at all times, such as the Walt Hoffman Trail which goes around the West side of Gibbs Lake.

| Metal Detecting |
Metal detecting is allowed in the following Jefferson County Parks with a permit:
- Cape George Trailhead Park
- Gibbs Lake Park
- Chimacum Park
- Lake Leland Park and Campground
- Quilcene Park and Campground
If you are interested in metal detecting, sign up for an account if you don't already have one and fill out the Metal Detecting Permit. This free permit lasts for 1 year and is saved to your account.

| No Alcohol in Gibbs Lake Park |
| “In the State of Washington it is illegal to open or consume alcoholic beverages in a public place" (see Title 66.44.100 of the RCW). This law applies in all Jefferson County parks, campgrounds, and recreation facilities. Exceptions to this law can be granted by the Washington State Liquor Control Board (see Title 314 of the WAC) in the form of a banquet permit or a special occasion license for example. All proposals to serve alcohol at an event in a Jefferson County Park are subject to approval by Jefferson County.
