Directions to Memorial Field
Directions: Port Townsend. Follow Water Street east in to downtown PT, turn left on Madison Street by City Hall, field is straight ahead.

Amenities
Full sized football field. Full sized soccer field. Full sized baseball field. Stadium with seating, roof, team rooms, showers, restrooms, maintenance shed, inground automatic irrigation system, concessions stand.

Recent Major Capital Improvements and Outstanding Maintenance
In 2010 a group lead by Rich Stapf and Roger Hall organized the donation of a turn key automatic irrigation system. Many private donors participated. The firefighters of East Jefferson Fire and Rescue volunteered to do the work. The irrigation system is fully functional and saves thousands of dollars per year in labor from hand watering. It creates more usable field time. Makes a healthier, more consistent athletic field. Thank you to all who participated in this donation.

In 2015 the entire roofing system and roof on the stadium was refurbished. The existing structure was repaired, painted, and brought up to the latest specifications. A 50 year steel roof was installed along with a new sound-system. 

In 2018 the 40 year old athletic field lighting system was replaced with a state of the art LED lighting system by MUSCO lighting. This system has world class field lighting with near zero light overspill or light pollution. The system is energy efficient.

Annual athletic field treatment by Pacific Sports Turf including aerification, overseeding, heavy sanding, and fertilizing have greatly improved the drainage and playability of the athletic field. The field can now stand up to much greater use. It can be opened earlier in the year, and kept open later in the year. 

Jefferson County takes pride in presenting the only athletic stadium in Jefferson County and the only public (non-school) athletic field in the City of Port Townsend.

No Alcohol in Memorial Field
“In the State of Washington it is illegal to open or consume alcoholic beverages in a public place" (see Title 66.44.100 of the RCW). This law applies in all Jefferson County parks, campgrounds, and recreation facilities. Exceptions to this law can be granted by the Washington State Liquor Control Board (see Title 314 of the WAC) in the form of a banquet permit or a special occasion license for example. All proposals to serve alcohol at an event in a Jefferson County Park are subject to approval by Jefferson County.
