Upper Oak Bay
 - scenic wooded campsites with beach access. Twenty (20) campsites, each with picnic table and fire ring.  Fees: $25 per night for sites with electrical hookups (sites 13-19, 21, 22); $20 per night for sites without electricity (sites 1-12.) Maximum 30 ft. vehicle length for all campsites. Amenities:  Playground, picnic areas, beach access, fresh water, toilet, trash container. Local Attractions:  Fishing, bird watching, Port Hadlock, Port Ludlow, Chimacum and Port Townsend historic sites, shops and restaurants. Lower Oak Bay - scenic campsites with beach access and boat ramp. Eight (8) campsites, each with picnic table and fire ring.  Fee: $20 per night.  Maximum 30 ft. vehicle length for all campsites. Amenities:  Beach access, fresh water, toilet, trash container.  Local Attractions:  Fishing, bird watching, Port Hadlock, Port Ludlow, Chimacum and Port Townsend historic sites, shops and restaurants. Oak Bay Camp Host - Open Position

Jefferson County Parks & Recreation is seeking one or two people with an RV to serve as Camp Host(s) at beautiful Oak Bay Campground.

Camp Host(s) work 13 hours/week. 

Work includes light maintenance, monitoring site registration, and general supervision. Parks staff do the heavy maintenance.


Campsite & Services Provided
In exchange we provide a campsite for your RV trailer with power, trash service, water, and now monthly septic service! Once per month mobile RV tank pumping service by Goodman Sanitation, valued at $125/each pump out, will be provided by Jefferson County Parks & Recreation during the term of service.

April 1st - October 31st
This is a contract services agreement, not a Jefferson County employment opportunity.


Driving Directions

Upper Oak Bay: 290 Cleveland Street, Port Ludlow WA.  Located two miles southeast of Port Hadlock. Take Oak Bay Road east, turn left on Cleveland Street, go half a mile then right into the campground on Upper Oak Bay Park Road.

Lower Oak Bay: 301 Portage Way, Port Ludlow WA. Located just two miles southeast of Port Hadlock. Take Oak Bay Road east, turn left on Portage Way and follow it to the park and campground.

No Alcohol in Oak Bay Campground
“In the State of Washington it is illegal to open or consume alcoholic beverages in a public place" (see Title 66.44.100 of the RCW). This law applies in all Jefferson County parks, campgrounds, and recreation facilities. Exceptions to this law can be granted by the Washington State Liquor Control Board (see Title 314 of the WAC) in the form of a banquet permit or a special occasion license for example. All proposals to serve alcohol at an event in a Jefferson County Park are subject to approval by Jefferson County.
